-FAQ

Q. I'd like to have a listing of the specific editorial changes made to my document. Can Squirrel Scribe provide such information?

A. Squirrel Scribe normally uses the Track Changes function of the word processor software, which tracks and describes every modification made to your text. We will provide both annotated (i.e., tracked) and non-annotated files of your edited document.

Q. If, after using Squirrel Scribe's services, my manuscript gets accepted for publication but with revisions required (e.g., an additional experiment or other information is requested by the referees or journal editor), what fee will Squirrel Scribe charge to edit my revised paper?

A. If the revisions are minor, Squirrel Scribe will edit them for free, as a courtesy. If extensive revisions are necessary, Squirrel Scribe may elect to charge a nominal fee (e.g., $25-50).

Q. I'm concerned about computer viruses. Are files from Squirrel Scribe safe?

A. Squirrel Scribe uses the latest anti-virus software, with virus definitions updated regularly. We scan all incoming and outgoing files for viruses.

Q. Squirrel Scribe lists a single number (631-689-5761) for both its fax and phone lines. How does that work?

A. Our fax machine will automatically answer your call. If the call is a fax transmission, our machine will receive and print the fax. If a fax signal is not detected after several rings, your call will be routed to our office telephone.
